Project Description

The documentary tells the story of Sara Yousef and her family from Syria- Qamishlo, who have endured immense hardships due to the war and the attacks on Syria. In 2019, Sara lost one of her legs, her brother Mohammed Yousef was martyred, and her brother Ahmed Yousef lost his right eye. Ahmed now lives in Sulaymaniyah with his family. The documentary begins with video evidence recorded since 2019, chronicling the struggles and resilience of Sara and her family. It also features an art exhibition by Sara Yousef, showcasing artwork that highlights the impact of war and economic conflict on children and the wider population. (Mam Humanitarian Foundation) sponsored the production and arranged for the film's premiere at a city centre cinema in Sulaymaniyah. 
The direct beneficiaries of this documentary are the 384 people that attended the premier.

• Strengthening the principles of peace and coexistence and focusing on humanitarian issues.
• Further introducing the situation of Sarah and children during and after the war in the world.
• Introducing and keeping these stories and similar ones alive in the world through filmmaking.
